Structure & Accountability

A safe, structured home

Clear, consistent expectations create the stability residents need to focus on rebuilding. Here's how life at SOTE Homes works.

House Rules

  • Treat all staff, housemates, and guests with respect
  • Keep personal and common areas clean and orderly
  • Dress appropriately in common areas
  • Abstain from drugs, alcohol, and violence
  • Attend mandatory house meetings
  • Quiet hours after 9:30 pm

Curfew

  • Weekdays (Mon–Fri): 10:00 pm
  • Weekends (Sat & Sun): 11:00 pm
  • Exceptions must be approved by the house manager in advance

Curfews support accountability and help residents keep steady routines.

Visitation

  • No overnight guests at any time
  • All visitors must be approved and signed in
  • Visitors remain in common areas only
  • Visitors are not permitted in resident bedrooms

We accept referrals from probation officers, case managers, prison reentry programs, and community agencies. Our team follows up within 1–2 business days.

Who can be referred to SOTE Homes?

We welcome returning citizens (including those on probation or parole), single or expecting mothers facing homelessness, veterans seeking stability, and adults with mild disabilities who can live independently or semi-independently. Every referral is evaluated individually to ensure the right placement.

How long is the housing program?

Our transitional housing program runs 3–12 months, paired with life-skills support, so residents have time to build the stability and independence they need for the next step.

How long does the referral process take?

Our team follows up within 1–2 business days of receiving a referral. After screening and an intake interview, final determination and move-in planning typically follow within 5–7 business days.

What documentation do you need?

Along with the referral form, please share supporting documentation such as release conditions and a needs assessment. This helps us screen quickly and plan the right support.

Is SOTE Homes faith-based? Is it required?

SOTE Homes is grounded in faith and inspired by Matthew 5:13–14, and our faith-based encouragement and mentorship are open to all. Residents of every background are welcome, and participation in faith activities is never a condition of housing.

What support do residents receive?

Beyond safe, furnished housing: life-skills coaching, job placement and vocational pathways, court-compliance and case-management support, faith-based mentorship, and 24/7 on-site supervision with clear safety protocols.
